Hire Me
Hey, it looks like you’ve decided that expat support is the right solution for you. Great! I look forward to working with you.
This is where we discuss how much it costs, what we’ll do to get started, and how it’s going to work.
How much does it cost?
- By phone – $150.00/hr
- In person – $175.00/hr (within the city of Vancouver, BC only)
I recommend a minimum of 8 hours (3 to 4 months) of ongoing expat support in order to achieve significant, long-lasting results.
- Sign up for 8 hours or more of expat support and save 20%
- Sign up for 12 hours or more of expat support and save 30%
Not sure how many hours you need? Contact me, and we’ll discuss the best options for your specific situation.
How do we get started?
- Please email me with a brief overview of your situation. I will send you a client questionnaire to fill in, which will serve as a starting point for your first session.
- All sessions are payable in advance. I will send you an invoice for each payment.
- After you return your completed questionnaire and pay for your expat support sessions, we will set up your first appointment. No matter what the time difference between our two locations, we’ll make sure you don’t have to get up stupidly early or stay up until midnight for your sessions!
What happens next?
- On the appointed day and time, you call me at 1 604 569 3125. You don’t need to prepare anything for the call, and it’s entirely up to you whether you want to take notes or not.
- At the end of our call, you will commit to completing a number of assignments before our next session. This isn’t one-size-fits-all “homework” to do between calls, but a structured way to keep you accountable and let you practice what we’ve learned during the session.
- If you face unexpected challenges or need my input between sessions, you can email me anytime, up to three times a month. I will get back to you within 24 hours, except on weekends and holidays.
What if you can’t hire me but still need help?
Expat support is not inexpensive, and you may not be able to afford it right now.
That doesn’t mean you’re on your own. If you find life abroad more challenging than you expected, I want to help you.
I offer plenty of free resources, tips and advice on my blog, Winning Away Expat Tips & Resources. Read through the archives, borrow the recommended books from the library, and visit the websites I link to for yet more great advice.
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Email me with your expat-related questions. I may not be able to reply to every individual email (although I will certainly try), but I will answer your question on the blog and send you a link when the corresponding post goes up. Sounds good?
